92-93 Walvis Bay, Namibia

Walvis Bay (Whale Bay) is on Namibia’s harbor and made of an amazing bay and sand dunes. The British occupied it in 1884, and the Germans occupied the neighboring city of Swakopmund in 1892. Walvis Bay is home to many flamingos and other species. The Namib Desert surrounds the city with dunes that reach to the coast. Dune 7 is the tallest dune measured at 1,256 feet.

I didn’t see any flamingos, but I did see dolphins. They are quicker than my camera.
